The Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors for all title III debtors within the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico (“The Creditors’ Committee”) maintains this website for the purposes of communicating with unsecured creditors related to the title III cases of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Employees’ Retirement System (ERS), Highways and Transportation Authority (HTA), and Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) (together, the “Debtors”).
This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes how we collect, store, share, or otherwise process the personal information of general unsecured creditors that voluntarily provide personal information to us.
Information We Collect
The Creditors’ Committee collects information from creditors in one of two ways:
- Via the web form found on the “Submit Inquiry” page of this website
- Via verbal communication with creditor representatives when they call the Creditors’ Committee’s representatives at the telephone number published on the website.
The personal information that we may collect about creditors includes:
- Name
- Name of creditor organization
- Email address
- Physical address
- Phone Number
- Fax Number
How We Use Information We Collect
We process personal information only pursuant to an explicit consent from you regarding the collection and processing of your information. The information that we collect from you will be used solely for the purposes of communicating with you in our fiduciary capacity as an appointed representative of the class of general unsecured creditors. We will use your information to respond to your inquiries regarding the filing of proofs of claims, court proceedings, location and timing of information sessions for unsecured creditors.
How We Protect Your Information
The Creditors’ Committee will not share your information with any third parties. While this website is hosted by a third party website host, Kroma, the host will not have access to any personal or other information that you provide through this website.
Your information will be stored in the databases of Paul Hastings, LLP, counsel to the Creditors’ Committee.
The Creditors’ Committee uses appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against loss or against any form of unlawful processing.
The Creditors’ Committee is based in Puerto Rico, which is a territory of the United States, and, regardless of where you use our Services or otherwise provide information to us, the information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located in the U.S. Please note that any information we obtain about you will be stored in accordance with U.S. privacy laws, regulations, and standards, which may not be equivalent to the laws in your country of residence. By using our Services or by providing us with your information, you consent to this collection, transfer, storage, and processing of information to and in the U.S.
We will store your information only for as long as is needed to finalize the title III case of the Debtors and/or as is required by applicable law.
